TAKE A SKATE SERIES

Our 2024 TAKE A SKATE series was a success in 2024! We hosted two incredible events, each with its own unique vibe. Our first event was extra special: the official launch of our very own Natural Freedom Take a Skate skateboard, in partnership with the awesome @landyachtz! Despite a little rain, 40 skaters showed up with high spirits, ready to celebrate. It was so rewarding to share this milestone with our community. We're incredibly grateful to @myhumanessentials for providing eco-friendly deodorants, and to our drink sponsors @tofinobrewco, @drinkocaso, and @nonny.beer for keeping everyone hydrated.

Our second meetup, in collaboration with @hotgirlskate, was a blast! It was so inspiring to see people trying skateboarding for the first time, connecting with others, and building a supportive community. A huge thank you to the HGS leaders @marleydianne and @fun.claire for their energy and guidance. Of course, no skate session is complete without a social, so thanks to @drinkocaso for keeping everyone refreshed. These two events perfectly capture what TAKE A SKATE is all about, and we can't wait for more skate adventures in 2025.

We were THRILLED to announce our exciting 2024 collaboration with Landyachtz for the exclusive Take A Skate cruiser board!

Take A Skate, our event series created by Natural Freedom, is dedicated to fostering a vibrant skate community for women. Over the past year, we hosted eight unforgettable TAKE A SKATE events, each filled with its own unique magic. What began as a small gathering blossomed into a close-knit community of passionate skaters of ALL levels.

Our partnership with Landyachtz allowed us to offer the Tugboat cruiser board, one of their most popular models, renowned for its ease of riding and versatility. These Take A Skate Tugboats were made to order right in Vancouver at the Landyachts headquarters and were available for pick up at our Take a Skate event on June 14th.

This collaboration was more than just about skateboards; it was about strengthening our community and providing our members with top-quality gear to enhance their skating experience. We were incredibly proud to partner with Landyachtz and loved seeing our Take A Skate community riding these unique boards! Preorders were available through the Landyachts site with a special discount code.

Reliving the joy of our TAKE A SKATE series is truly an emotional journey. Throughout the year, we hosted 8 unforgettable TAKE A SKATE events, each bringing its own unique magic based on our guests. What started as a small gathering quickly blossomed into a tight-knit community of passionate skaters, both familiar faces and new friends brought together by the power of Instagram and word of mouth.

We are endlessly grateful to everyone who bravely stepped out of their comfort zones to join us, embracing the thrill of trying something new or rediscovering their love for skateboarding.
