Ocean Go Fish: A Women's Fishing Adventure Series
We hosted a series of unforgettable fishing adventures in the stunning waters of Tofino, sponsored by Xtratuf. Our groups experienced the thrill of reeling in Chinook and Coho Salmon, learned new skills, and connected with amazing women. Our guided tours, provided by expert local guides, ensured a safe and enjoyable experience for all skill levels. We enjoyed delicious food and refreshing drinks from local businesses as we unwound and celebrated our catches. We won't forget this opportunity to immerse ourselves in nature, make new friends, and create lasting memories.
A huge thank you to our incredible guides, Tofino Ocean Adventures, Fish On Jon Tofino, Charter Tofino, Neve Abraham, Obee Fishing Charters, and Wardowest Fishing. We also want to express our gratitude to Andrea Mcquade for their leadership support, Jesse Laking and Alex Beebe for catering delicious salmon and tuna dishes, Drink Ocaso, Drink Barbet and Tofino Brewing Co for supplying us with amazing drinks, and Mirae Campbell, Bryanna Bradley and Andi Wardrop for capturing these unforgettable moments so perfectly.
We couldn’t have done it without the support of Xtratuf. Our group looked so cool in their boots!
Let's do it again next year! Stay connected for dates.
This video takes us back to our 2nd Go Fish Ocean Edition Event from September. We were out on the calm inlet waters, fishing for coho salmon, and each of us had the chance to reel in a catch. The day was filled with laughter, connection, and unforgettable moments. Both Go Fish events were special in so many ways, and we’re incredibly grateful to this community for trusting us and stepping into spaces that can feel intimidating. That’s what this is all about, taking on new challenges, together.
On June 16th 2024, we had a Lake Edition Go Fish Event targeting trout. Everyone who attended got the chance to learn the basics of fly fishing gear and spent hours together, enjoying the beautiful lake on little boats while catching rainbow trout.
Each person caught between 2-6 fish, which is truly amazing considering we were a larger group of beginners. We also covered the fundamentals of single-hand casting, providing a solid foundation for future fishing adventures.
Thank you @whistlerfishingguides @jarredmartin @nicolepurdy for guiding
Our 2023 fly fishing adventures with Whistler Fishing Guides in Squamish, BC, were truly amazing. Under the expert guidance of our guides, we explored the best spots along the rivers, honed our fly fishing skills, and immersed ourselves in the beauty of nature. Targeting Rainbow Trout, Bull Trout, Coho, and Pink Salmon.
There's an undeniable power in bringing together like-minded individuals to try something new and connect with the outdoors. Despite the unpredictable nature of fishing, the determination and passion of our group never wavered. We found immense joy in the simple act of being together, learning, and the thrill of the chase.
As we reflect on these memorable experiences, we're filled with gratitude for everyone who stepped out of their comfort zones to join us on the water. With plans to continue our 'GO FISH' series into 2024, we eagerly anticipate more adventures and the opportunity to inspire others to explore the wonders of nature through fishing.
Special thanks to Mirae Campbell, Kiara Swartz, and Doug Hampton for capturing our journeys through their photographs.
