Coastal Yeehaw Half 2026

Join us for the 4th annual Yeehaw Half (2nd annual Coastal) on Saturday, May 16th in beautiful Tofino, BC!

Let’s use this spring to work towards a goal together.

What is the Yeehaw Half?

The Coastal Yeehaw Half is an unsanctioned, community-first run held in Tofino, BC. It’s not your typical race — there are no winners, it's not timed, this is a FOR FUN event. Training for weeks and showing up is the win.

We created the Yeehaw Half to make running feel welcoming, supportive, and fun. Whether you’re training for your first-ever half marathon, returning for the second time, or simply curious about what you’re capable of, this day is about personal goals and collective energy — not competition.

Participants receive access to a custom training plan, along with WhatsApp and Strava groups so the experience begins long before race day. We train together, show up together, and celebrate together.

Run, walk, jog, or gallop — you belong here.

Thanks for understanding and supporting a small community event. <3

You’re still invited! Come cheer, support, or volunteer.

No cutoff. We ask that participants are prepared to complete their chosen distance safely and comfortably. This event is NOT about speed - walk the entire thing if you'd like.

Yes! We’ll have a bag drop area at check-in so you can safely leave a small bag with extra layers or post-run clothes. We recommend bringing only essentials and labeling your bag clearly.

(PSA we are not liable for anything going missing)

Yes — this is a rain or shine event.

We’re on the coast, and weather is part of the experience. Please come prepared with appropriate layers and gear so you can stay comfortable in changing conditions.

Safety always comes first, and we’ll communicate directly with participants if anything unexpected arises.

Tofino weather can shift, so we recommend:

  • Layers (light long sleeve or windbreaker)
  • A rain shell just in case
  • Hat or visor
  • Sunglasses
  • Running belt or hydration if you prefer extra fluids
  • Dry clothes for after the run
  • Your best yeehaw energy 🤠🐚

We’ll have two water stations along the course and post-run support, but it’s always a good idea to come prepared.

Yay thank you!! This wouldn't be possible without the support from the community. Please fill out this form: https://forms.gle/iRvnxgSW2Cv3h7ti8
