Event Recap: A Day with Honey Bees and Pollinators

On Saturday, June 15, participants gathered at the West Coast Seeds and Urban Bee Supplies Apiary in Ladner, BC, for an enriching day with honey bees and pollinators, hosted by Julia Common and Rho Thygesen.

Attendees learned about honey bees and beekeeping, observed a live hive, and interacted safely with bees. They enjoyed tasting various honeys and rolling their own beeswax candles. The event also highlighted native pollinators and pollinator-friendly plants, with guests receiving seeds to plant at home.
