GO BIKEPACKING

Victoria → Sooke Potholes

It's back!

After an incredible first year, we're bringing back our Intro to Bikepacking trip.

Join us for a two-day, one-night adventure from Victoria to Sooke Potholes designed for women who have always wanted to try bikepacking. We'll teach you the basics, help you pack your bike, and ride together at a comfortable pace, stopping for swims, snacks, coffee, and good conversation along the way.

This isn't about racing or riding the hardest route. It's about learning something new, building confidence, and discovering how much adventure you can have on two wheels.

Intro to Bikepacking

Event Summary:

Our Intro to Bikepacking weekend is designed to take the intimidation out of overnight bike travel.

Over two days we'll ride 55 km each way (110 km total) on mostly flat bike paths from MEC Victoria to Sooke Potholes Campground. Along the way we'll stop for lunch at Taylor Beach, refill supplies in Sooke, spend the night camping together, and ride home the next day.

We'll be with you every step of the way—from learning how to pack your bike before the trip to setting up camp and everything in between.

No bikepacking experience required.

Think backpacking—but on a bike! Instead of carrying everything on your back, you'll pack your camping gear onto your bike and ride to your campsite. It's a fun, approachable way to explore the outdoors and travel a little farther than you could on foot.

This trip is designed for women and non-binary folks who are curious about bikepacking. Whether you're new to overnight bike adventures or looking to build confidence, this weekend is all about learning, having fun, and connecting with others.
